Prometheus Days

The kids have lost touch. They sit in an empty classroom in silence, unable to relate to their lessons. The ancient myth of Prometheus, the god who moulded man and gave them the power of creation is just another boring story. Until. The stark white of the classroom erupts into the chaos of creation without consequence. Music blares from no where, glitter falls from the sky, and the students unleash their wildest fantasies upon one another. Prometheus Days is contemporary performance piece that weaves together the thoughts and stories of real teenagers, created for the Mackay Festival of Arts 2011.
